Youth Development Working Group Updates and Open Registration for Online Meeting on March 23 and 24
The Hong Kong Youth Development Working Groups were born out of a vision to provide companies with a platform to collectively discuss challenges, share ideas and find solutions to issues in supply chains that affect children, young workers and parent workers. At the same time, participants would also be the first to hear about CCR CSR's latest tools, upcoming projects and insights.
To date dozens of international brands have joined our Hong Kong Working Group, meeting face to face three times a year to discuss and take the child rights agenda further. Many more have joined our Virtual Working Group, which echoes the face-to-face meetings but allows companies from all over the world to listen in via a webinar. WeSupport, a two-year multi-stakeholder initiative that trained over 5000 workers, was a result of collaboration between Working Group members.
We're excited to announce some small changes to our Working Group. Sessions will now be extended from one hour to 1.5 hours and participants will be encouraged to give a three minute presentation on what their company has been doing on the Working Group topic of the day. Confidentiality and creating a safe space to discuss topics freely is one of our highest priorities and all members must sign an NDA before joining.
The next upcoming meeting takes place on March 23 and 24 via webinar and registration is now open.
We're delighted to be joined by Christopher Kip from UNICEF, who will discuss UNICEF's Children's Rights in the Workplace Programme for Garment Manufacturers in Bangladesh. We'll also be discussing China's new measures for evaluating compliance and public disclosures of violations. See the full agenda below.
Session 1: Thursday, March 23, 2017 from 9pm-10:30pm HKT
Session 2: Friday, March 24, 2017 from 9am-10:30am HKT
